Default Airtronics Transmitter needs Repair. Airtronics.net no longer works

The transmitter battery in my SD10-G burned up while I was charging it and I need to send it back for repair. Since Airtronics.net no longer works, where do I send my transmitter?

Hello,

Contacting Sanwa's new distributor for service and support is an option (www.serpentamerica.com) or Radio South as mentioned previously.

Best regards,
Todd

I bought a SD 10g from Australia NIB (Mode 1) however it is easy to change to any mode.. This offer was on Ebay. I got a new SD 10g and a 10 channel receiver for $224.00 US including shipping. I had a problem with my old SD 10g and I have a lot invested in receivers, so this was the best way for me to go. I am now flying this radio in a 2M Vanquish in a mode 2 configuration.

Don't know if they have any left, but this is a very good deal.

There's not much chance of Sanwa radios being a part of the American market anymore. It's a shame, because I've truly enjoyed my SD10G. But this distributor doesn't even carry the air receivers, not that I'd buy them at those prices.

Tony Stillman, is the owner of Radio South and has moved his company to Muncie Indiana. He claims to have lots of Airtronics parts and services the radios.

All Sanwa radios are being distributed by SerpentAmerica They are no longer markets under the Airtronics label.

I know. But their prices are ridiculous. I'm selling all of my Airtronics stuff if anybody is looking.

I've been flying Airtronics gear since the late 1970's. I have an RDS8000 that was my second 2.4 radio. The first 2.4 was a Futaba FAAST 6-chan which worked OK but Fut orphaned it in favor of the more expensive 7-chan, so I sold it at a break-even price. That's when Airt brought out their 2.4 gear so I hopped on. I'm still flying 5 airplanes on that RDS8000. The programing is a funky add on but flexible enough and the link has been bullet proof. Guess I'll keep flying that gear until I have trouble with it.

Airtronics CS has been second to none over the years! Sorry to see them go.

The only reason I switched away from it is that I need more receivers. But I'm not paying Serpent America's prices when it's all going obsolete anyway.

I can understand that. Too bad Sanwa won't allow FrSky to make a compatible receiver. I'm using FrSky receivers with my Hitec A9 but I recently went for a FrSky Taranis X9D+ transmitter and two receivers, a 4 chan & a 8 chan for it. I'm flying the 4 chan in a Parkzone F4F which Horizon re-released this year. It takes a while to learn how to program the Taranis but it works fine once it's set up. Has telemetry and one can get lots of sensors for it too. Aloft Hobby is the US distributor if you want to take a look.

No connection with them except as a satisfied customer.
