Is it ok for the coaxial portion of the antennas to be touching each other before making the 90 degree split?

I just read thru my TX and RX manuals, it is not addressed directly. I am gathering by their illustrations for antenna routing they do not show any contact between the wires. So, my guess is no, but if you are getting a good range check??? Wow, good question and I am sure Mike will chime in after the holiday with wisdom.

Yep I looked though the manuals too. This is a new installation, so, no range check yet.

It is ok if they touch. It is more important that the white antenna be straight, 90 degrees to each other, and away for big solid metal objects like your battery and away from other electronic stuff like an ESC or the processor that runs a turbine, etc.

And, it's nice if you can get the white antenna portions a little farther apart if possible.

Wow, I really didn't expect a reply on the weekend, especially a long weekend.

Guess I'm good to go. My antennae run up a bulk into two tubes, on across a bulkhead and the other longitudinally down the side.

Do a range test of course, but that's very similar to how I have my antennas mounted.
