RC advertising vs. safety guide lines?

RE: RC advertising vs. safety guide lines?
I don't see anyone around in the video. So I really do not see why this would be an issue. It is simple. This should be a non-issue.

RE: RC advertising vs. safety guide lines?
Tim
I believe the point folks are trying to get at
is that small parks aint always completely devoid of folks like as in the vid.
And if you show a toy in a park without the disclaimer of closed course
you are fostering the idea that one can just have at it in any ole park.
Why do they bother putting those disclaimers on car ads? Cause they dont want to get sued by the folks trying to do what they see in those ads. Why should the way ads are done be different when the object is in the air(plane) rather than on the ground(buick)
Sometimes parks are empty, but sometimes an 'empty' park actually has a girl in it... right?
Sometimes there are florida girls getting chopped up by RC toys in parks, which should serve as a point to take into consideration as to flying RC aircraft in parks. Was there a lesson to be learned about flying in parks when we chopped up that girl, or did she get diced in a park and we aint learnt nuthin from it.

RE: RC advertising vs. safety guide lines?
But where does the AMA fit in this?
That 'we' right there, thats the AMA.
You , me, muncie and the rest of the AMA members.
WE(AMA) chopped up a girl in a park and now some of US(AMA) are saying they dont see any issues at all.
I dont know if this was supposed to be a thread asking wht we would like to see Muncie do,
cause it was worded as to what we think muncie thinks.
If the thread was asking for suggestions for appropriate actions, we already heard earlier about the closed course disclaimer. AMA could write a letter suggesting Hobbico put that disclaimer in thier ad... AMA could be doing something to promote safety rather than doing nothing when that something can be done.
But I didnt see anyone post saying they think thats what muncie is thinking.
Do you think they are thinking thats what muncie is thinking?

If the video showed a bunch of people playing soccer or kids running around while the airplane was flying around them, then I would say yes this is a concern. But it is obvious that Horizon took the time to make sure no one was around when they shot the video. Safety wise they are fine. You cannot baby sit everyone, and common since is not common.
This is a non-issue. You can't stop monkey see monkey do syndrome.

Just read 1/2 of the posts in this thread. I gotta say...I must be friggin bored! Turns out you all can still make federal case out of everything. What if.....they own the park in question? What if they ate beans before they shot the video? What if they forgot to take out the trash? What if .........holy moly....go fly a plane already.
I'll check back in another year or so.........see if anything has changed....rofl. Now there is a sign of insanity......
Peace

That commercial would be better if ''Mayhem'' was in it.

Oh, after thinking about it a bit, I think you meant the guy on the TV commercials... I thought you might be talking about my flying for a minute.
