RE: When you renew do you go for the two year option?
know what would be cool?
If we run this poll like a month or so,
and then the OP get & post the actual numbers from Muncie as to how many really did it last renew cycle,
so we can see how close our small sample poll is to the real number

When you renew your AMA membership do you go for the two year option?
When you renew your AMA membership do you go for the two year option?
Yes , I do renew for two years at a time , and I like having the option to do so ..... At my age , a life membership would make little economic sense , and as a retiree Im not exactly made of money like back in my working days . I would also happily consider a 5 year renewal , somewhere between $ 200 to $250 , so I could work it in with when its time to renew my driver's licence (in Mass. we renew every 5 years) .
I like the fact that the AMA has several renewal options , and would applaud even more choices if offered . Not everyone's situation is the same , and to see such flexibility in the renewal process is really great .
Thanks for the good poll question , and Happy flying .
PS , yea , I would let it happen (the renewal) with a Credit card # on file . Every other obligation today , from the electric bill to the phone bill have similar "bill less" or "paper less" payment schedules/options , so sure , I'd trust the AMA to do that as well .......

I voted no, but only because my budget doesn't have that much flexibility. If it did you can bet whatever you like that I would.

Yes, wish I would of done the life time 10 years ago. I'm still considering doing so, but each time I renew I do 2 years. I do it more out of not having to do the paperwork as often as the expense. A five year would be cool.

For all of you that have some budgeting problems, You may well like the new AMA quarterly options for Open memberships.
While I find it strange that the last EC meeting shows nothing about allowing such, it must be there and surely someone will show me the error of my ways.
Check the website!

Hoss,
check the thread discussing the new Quarterly dues policy.
There I posted a quote from 902.pdf showing the quarterly is just for NEW members, not renewals.
I'm not gonna run a tangent here on it, so I posted it there

RE: When you renew do you go for the two year option?
In my opinion anyone joining using the prorated structure IS A NEW MEMBER. IF THE PERSON HAD BEEN A MEMBER THE PREVIOUS YEAR, THEN HE LOST IT, GAVE IT UP AND WAS GONE AS OF JAN. 31 (LATEST). Thus April or July, a NEW MEMBER!
Therefore the new quarterly dues has to be for New Members since 1.) anyone using it is not a member unless 2.) he/she is already a paid-up member, but then any quarterly member sending in quarterly dues would simply be donating to the cause.

Then you must have renewed last year for two years, otherwise how could you be treasurer of the Paris R/C Association?
