Default Contest Directors: New item : Flight Safety Declaration Form & Other

AMA asked for some paperwork inputs from CDs back last Fall. Not up to what I recommended, but better than expectations.

The Flight Safety Declaration Form has significant changes. The requirements for non-competition sanctioned events only require the model to have been successfully test flown vice having performed all maneuvers. Competition Events still require that the model has performed the maneuvers.

Another change is the Event Participation List, Form 11, now only requires either home address or E-Mail address. No longer trying to get all that stuff on the short space available.

I have yet to review the new 2014 Membership Manual. With the EC supposedly revising the Manual's rules and regulations, I still wonder if I should be holding my "Jack D." close, or be skipping on the Drive.

Horrace, thanks for posting this info. Shame that it doesn't come as an email from the AMA to all the CD's.

OK, Major, Thank You for the kind response. It will be interesting to see if anything comes through that is really significant. Since the By-Laws require Leader Member vote I feel sure that portion of the Membership Manual will not be touched. The EC seems to get everything they want by making new "Standing Rules" many of which, IMO, should be in the By-Laws.
OTOH, the item of change in the Flight Safety Declaration Form will be a good thing. For example at a sanctioned Fun Fly there are frequently tasks that no one practices for or even knows about. Therefore the usual signing of the FSD up until now is pure bogus. Thanks to AMA for keeping us honest.

Hey, Man, ya'll stay warm up thar!
