AMA and UAS expertise at Agricultural Show
AMA to assist in technologydemos at Precision Aerial Ag Show
Early in 2014, the AMA was contacted by representatives of AgEngage of Decatur, IL regarding plans for the 2014 Precision Aerial Ag Show, July 9-10,and their desire to include a practical demonstration of current sUAStechnology. Their interest in including this in the event stemmed from theexcitement surrounding the potential use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) inprecision agriculture and the farming industry. The AMA offered its support andexpertise in organizing the technology demonstration as an AMA sanctioned eventto ensure the safe operation of the UAS activity and compliance with currentFAA policies and safety guidelines. This will be the first show of its kind, and will offer attendees the opportunity to see the new technology in action, tolearn more about UAS, and to understand the important role the AMA plays inthis emerging technology.

Looks like a reasonable and productive use of UAV to benefit society.

This show appears to be even a better draw of the different worlds of agriculture, yet definitely a show on farming and the use of UAVs. HEY, IMO that is a good place for the little creatures. Those RCers that like the UAV stuff can just maybe wind up with good jobs and their fun all the same time.
As it has been said before, "Let's not look a Gift-Horse in the mouth." Get the creatures off the RC fields and into good work and activity for the pilots. Can't be all bad!!
