Coming to an R/C model U own soon. It will/may be a mater who does the best job of Programming as to who wins feature Pattern, IMAC, Pylon races, etc. NA .... Kit and ARF manufactures would soon go out of business "NO CRASHES". That's unless we have a lot of PPP out there.

Lol...talk about doom and gloom. Pretty much everything that is computer based can be hacked. If you noticed the pilots...plural...were on board the whole time. I doubt It's going to be anything that will see in our lifetime anyway but still cool to see.

All joking aside that might not be something that can't be done I think it would be pretty cool to see someone be able to program a fixed-wing aircraft to run a specific set of moves in the pattern demonstration they still need to know something about flying RC aircraft and then there's the additional complexity of programming a computer to make it happen

Lots of dangerous things have the potential to be hacked into these days.

Those programmable signs are funny sometimes. Some get hacked and say far worse things than that, and even have pics attached to them. Others have some pretty witty thing scrolling across that at least confirm some folks in local govt or DOT still have a sense of humor.

Default Amazing video footage

Some pretty amazing video of some "traditional" aircraft taken at one of (if not THE) most traditional RC gathering ever....Joe Nall.

Love 'em or hate 'em...hard to deny the footage isn't impressive.

Happy Father's Day!

Finally something good about Quads and FPV ... see It can be done right.
Now let's see how and who will find fault with this use of a really great new form of R/C.

Cool video, but it sure looked like several near mid-airs (tail of FW out of frame with FPV flying below and behind). But I suppose to if you're willing to lose your plane, no biggie. Certainly no risk to people on the ground.

Pretty cool and I'm sure both the pilots involved were not only very capable pilots but worked together to get such great footage. Not your average video.

Gees Franky ... Give it a rest ... How can U even risk getting out of bed each day for all the dangers that abound in our every day lives. Everyday some ones fly's any R/C anything there is that chance that it will "CRASH". Same thing every time U start your car u take the chance of dieing in an accident. Life's full of things that might cause us bodily harm, yet we don't stop doing them just because they might end up, well, as unintended, Now do we? Life is a crap shoot. U can choose to participate or walk away from the table, your choice. What a dull world it would be if we eliminated the Crap Table.

That's awesome! Glad to see them taking action on individuals flying irresponsibly.

Also note that at the very bottom of the whole thing it "exempts" model aircraft, specifically mentioning that they come under 336.

And yet it continues....

http://bigstory.ap.org/c3ccf5a44b9e49caaa1ab50b34757866

"Firefighting officials say one drone came within feet of a firefighting helicopter and could have killed the flight crew"

"Drones have been seen three times in three days, forcing crews to ground firefighting aircraft"

"Utah Gov. Gary Herbert visited the site near Pine Valley on Wednesday and said the evacuations might not have been necessary without drone interruptions"

Thought registration fixed all that and everyone's now a AMA member following the rules.

Yeah, and it runs the risk of someone in government saying that "this self regulation thing clearly isn't working."

Appears you continue to be unaware of what the reason and purpose for the reg was. Have you stopped selling drones/quads yet?

Lol...of course...a one off event like this will most likely result in a govt worker arriving at THAT conclusion. Too funny.
