Man Looks like this thread has died. What No one in the USA flying DRONES where they shouldn't anymore. Looks like the FAA should have gotten their Act together Sooner. Would have avoided a lot of turmoil.

Guess Mike was right after all, nobody is really buying or flying these things. It was a huge flash in the pan and poof...it's all over. Phew, we can get back to "traditional" modeling now.

That video promo has been out there for quite a while. To date I can't see that they've published any results. In fact, if you look at their study prospectus, there's not even a schedule.

Also, their study is narrowly limited to only impacts on part 25 aircraft (regional carrier sized passenger and business). This excludes the many light civilian fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, Agricultural, and military tactical aircraft flying at low altitude.

I think I'd make a remote throttle control. Standing next to those Meat Cleaver props ain't my cup of Tea. Any ways they are in some Asian country and I dought they have the restrictions for Multi Rotters that the USA has. Any way Real Interesting Thanks.

And those are some heavy burritos too! But in all fairness, Dominos was talking about this delivery method way before the folks at Chipotle joined the craze.
They might even be delivering pizzas this way in New Zealand I believe.

Sure...it's a great idea, a novelty. Wait til the first one gets hurt or dies and PETA gets wind of it! Of course the better approach is to enforce the rules/laws and severely punish those who deserve it.

First responders are going to be putting these units together for many lifesaving uses. Similar aircraft have been in operation for years and years doing land surveying, and even agriculture activities like seeding and fertilizing, all overseas. I think we'll see far more uses for these in the future, mostly non hobby related.

That's what the Commercial DRONE ticket is for. I'll bet U can make BIG money too ... LOL Did U see where UPS pilots just signed a new contract while (after 5 years with out a contract) A caption gets a $60 000 signing bonus and a first officer gets $40 grand. then The average UPS pilot covered by the contract earns $238,000 annually, UPS said in 2015. Captains, who rank higher than first officers, are guaranteed $255,128 and typically earn about $290,000, per year.
I don't think Drone Plots will come any where close to this, but one can only Hope.
