Thanks I'll contact AVP
as for "are members in Texas BIG"
not sure if this helps but just from my experience of living here all my life
the average Texans is only about 5ft 11 by the third grade
where the growth rate usually slows down
and most adult male Texans are only 6ft 6
but don't some of us are considerably shorter at only 6ft 3
we consider the women to be rather short in Texas they are only 6ft 2
I don't know a lot about other states but I am sure other states are about the same
hope this helps
one common misconception is we all ride horse and have guns
NOT TRUE kids under 7 are only allowed one gun till the age of 8 then they get the usual 12 guns

Jeez...i went back and read that and realize my predictive word function noted "members" instead of "membership". Yeesh. I meant membership, hence the comments about all the clubs I see and read about. I'm also looking into membership numbers for the Northeast, curious to see if there has been an increase or decrease, and where. Our club had done a lot of outreach to build membership and we've gone from 125 to 181 in 3 years, with many of those "noobs" being new to AMA as well.
We had a brutal winter and I wished I had some TX weather more than once...
