If anyone remembers I suggested a test and a printable proof of passage over 6 months ago maybe a year but I got shot right out of the sky by most every one. As far as being exempted by the FAA just because of what congress says ... well don't hold your breath ... Look how well #336 worked if U need any further proof that the FAA don't give a GGD about what congress or any one else says unless it suits them.

Might as well sign up and avoid the rush

Sadly you may be right, this proves how our elected officials can screw something up without even trying....
99.5% of those clowns don't have a clue as to what they are " regulating", they just get their " Drone" headlines from CNN.
God bless America or what's left of it..

Care to elaborate? What new rules and regulations are coming down the pipeline?

http://amablog.modelaircraft.org/ama...-in-the-house/

Where have we seen this before?

"Special Rule for Model Aircraft Looks Favorable in the House"

Every time I see these words from the government relations guys normally the next communication is "how disappointed we are about". I actually asked about this on the blog and awaiting a response.
We all need to hope that maybe this time will be different.

That would be scary, but I think it's unlikely to happen. Once the press gets wind of FAA approval to fly a paper airplane someone will be the laughing stock of the country.

Mike:
Isn't there a saying about wishing in one hand and (_______)in the other and seeing which fills up first?
"Special Rule for Model Aircraft Looks Favorable in the House" What's that mean???
We all know the whole thing stinks but how long can we hold our breath?
Just Fly and forget about all the FAA crap especially if U R outside of any airport especially if it's un-towered.

After a near miss of a landing Lear Jet almost hitting our Falcon 200 while crossing a runway on a foggy / low overcast White Plains, NY day. I might say that its not that the airport was un-towered, but that the controllers were un-qualified.

Just a " PERSONAL " peeve, that I will never forget. " No comments are necessary " !

And where have we seen this complaint before as well? Not sure what your point it. What is your alternative suggestion? Should they just stop working on the issue?
