Those generally are the type of people Flyingwalenda mentioned, that tell you not to question anything/anyone, and just do as you are told and follow the flock.

That poor guy disappears like a fart in the wind when pressed for any specifics. He launches a "Sheeple" every now and then, and vague generalities, and then poof...gone. Still waiting to see anything even remotely close a plan on what a new EC would do if some of these big keyboard talkers had their way. So far nothing. Just more of the usual. Yes, lot's of here is what I would have done differently before...but nothing about going forward. They can't even say who would be part of the EC (and no, it's not them because they are busy with soo much other stuff). So to recap, lot's of feel good sloganeering about change, and new leadership. and throw the bums out.....alas nothing in terms of here's some folks to step up and guide us, and here is what they are going to do.
Tell you who has got more on the ball than 100 of the other type you mentioned combined....DUG. If your club is on public property, might want to start looking into that group and figure out what you're going to do when they show up looking to fly at your field.
Meanwhile, the Sheeple whisperer drones on.......

To be fair I do understand where you are coming from.
I didn't much like the 'D' word at first but when you research the history of it being applied to RC aircraft there is no point denying it.
