Default New Club in GARNER, NC

I'm looking for a handfull of members to start the first AMA CHARTERED Flying Field in Garner, NC.

5 AMA members are required to become chartered into the AMA (2 have to be senior members/19 or older) and the following positions need to be filled (one person can fill more than one position):

President
Vice-President
Secretary
Treasurer
Field Marshall
Safety Officer

I have potential flying sites marked, but any members, or non-members, who own land in the area that could be utilized for a flying site would be great and would receive a certificate of additional insured for $2,500,000 each occurence.
I have all the neccesary information and forms to get this ball rolling.

I'm looking for a handfull of members to start the first AMA Sanctioned Flying Field in Garner, NC.
Maybe brush up on your terminology some . . .

Clubs are chartered, not sanctioned.

Chartered clubs host events, and if they want they can get an AMA sanction for those events, but it is not a requirement.

Chartered clubs can also get insurance for a third party flying site owner.

Flying sites are neither sanctioned nor chartered.

I appreciate the insight on my "terminology".....

Anyway, to modelers in and around GARNER, NC..I am not charging dues for at least the first two years, so don't be afraid of cost. I almost have the members I need, just a few more needed. Going this weekend to discuss the tentative club site withg land owners. From conversations thus far, I believe I can obtain the site for free in exchange for maintaining the land.

The same thread is open in the Clubhouse. The above link will take you there. I'm closing this one.
