You're missing out. I'm just sitting here in my mansion paid for with Nigerian oil money, snorting supereffective herbal viagra and wondering if I should lay off the ***** enlargement system, or just have new pants custom cut to accomodate all my previous gains. Spam is great, I respond to each and every one, they really have some incredible stuff. Your loss!

Jim, Jim, Jim, Coward now huh? Seems to me I stated a few post back that I would be happy to meet you face to face to talk about this. Guess what the offer is still there on the table just pm me your address and I will drive over and we can see who the coward really is. (you) by the way my name is Lee Lombard. Hence the LeeL So their you are. I dont hide from anything or anybody just in case you dont understand again I will repeat it for you just name the time and place and I'll be happy to show up and we can settle who the coward is. Jeeze go off on vacation for a week and come back to this same crap. Jim I think you are nothing more than a troll because you can never answer a direct question, and try to stir up a bunch of sh*t every time you write a post. So there you go my responce to your drivel.

Once again a thread has degenerated into name calling and nonsense and the moderators have once again turned a blind eye. It just seems they don't have the gumption to enforce the rules they set down. They should have seen this one as no more than an attempt to start s**t from the gitgo and shut it down.

One alternative to all this bickering and sniping would be to give Jim and Horrace their own forum so they can carry on as much as they want. They could call it "IF I Ran the Zoo" and paint rosy pictures about how great the AMA would be if they were in charge, and how horrible things would be if the other was. They could even moderate it themselves.

Mr. Lee Lombard,

I happen to think that those who hide behind a keyboard with pseudonyms are cowardly and lazy because it does not take much effort to protect your email box. If that is too difficult for you to understand, I can suggest a consultant or two to help you get educated. I apologize if this thread is beyond the intelligence level you are capable of understanding.

You have tried valiantly to turn this thread into an attack when it clearly (to intelligent human beings) was not. I stated MY opinion and you have repeatedly threatened me with physical violence. You sound like some AMA DVP we all know so well and I am getting tired of your childish taunts. They remind me of a 10 year old girl or some low life scumbag dude with nothing on the ball but his mouth, but assuredly not any modeler worth very much no matter what measure used. Why don't you prove your courage and deliver on your cowardly threats or publicly admit that you have acted incorrectly in view of the facts? Your DVP has appointed an AVP, Bill Fulmer who will gladly you the details of my address that you are too lazy to get and probably even help you find driving instructions. Is that too complicated for you to understand? What needs to be said to simplify it for your comprehension or are you too sick?

Jim, thank you for again proving me right, you have beat around the bush and refused to give a direct answer by refering me off some where else instead of just coming out and giving me your address. And then go off and start insulting me in a childish way, You sir are a troll in the worst way but it doesnt matter because I am not going to continue to fight a battle of wits with some one that is totaly unarmed. I am going to block your name out on these forums and I can only hope and pray that you are stupid enough to show up at some of the fly ins that I go to cause I will knock you the f*ck out if our paths ever cross.

Not to worry, this is my response:

Gentlemen,

I have been treasurer of my club in San Antonio for almost 10 years and not well known for hiding or not keeping my opinion to myself. I also am known not to respond positively to threats of violence, hence this note.

I don’t know for sure that the fellow in the following quote is one of yours, but his website indicates he is (or was) a member of your club. His remarks do not speak well for folks in your neck of the woods. This is the last of two or three similar threats, so I wonder if this type of welcome will help or hurt your events.

Here is a question. Would you like me to publish this comment in my club newsletter?

Please resist the urge to curse, flame, degrade, insult or embarrass someone in your post. We encourage the free flow of your ideas, but believe that they can be communicated (and received) much more effectively if you keep things civil. If you have to vent, take it offline. We carefully monitor posts and will ban individuals who engage in offensive conduct within the forums. Thanks. (RCU Policies)

JB, I don't know Lee Lombard, and I do not recall his name in any association with Jetero.

Your above note reminds me a couple years ago when you called me a liar for saying that I had attended the Bomber Field B-17 Fly-In, as you had not seen me there, when in fact you stood within arm's length of me for over 5 minutes. YUCK!!

JB, methinks you spend too much time either in the sun or out-of-the-sun in some local Pub.

Mr. Lee's letter does warrant my significant admiration for himself.

May I suggest you do not open yourself to such libel as you seem to threaten which may end up within the Tort System. Jetero has relatively deep pockets. Please decide just where you wish to take this as you have no case for defense.

Well I had a little spare time this morning as it is raining here at the Nats in Muncie. I read this thread and found it entertaining. I am highly unqualified to get in a battle of words with anyone. It is my station in life to be fortunate to enjoy the hobby in various levels of activity. Right now I shall leave the motel and ride out to the AMA Muncie Nats site and visit with the folks. My first Nats in a long time to be attending as just a competitor. Life is Great!

Jim, Horrace, all concerned,

I am writing this as a fellow AMA member. I am embarrassed by some of the behavior exhibited in this thread (and other threads). We all have different views, and they can be expressed without the kind of crap that is rampant in this thread. Personally I am sick of it, and the only reason why that matters is because you folks are helping shape perceptions of AMA and people that use AMA. It does not matter if you started it or not, I am incredulous with some of the responses in this thread and others. I am not one to beat around the bush either, this is a gut check guys, a great deal of this is silly selfish ego indulgence that the hobby and discussions associated with AMA (in particular) needs to be free of (or as free as possible). Now, rant mode off, I have no doubt that most if not all of you guys are great people, and that it would be rewarding to spend time flying and talking with any one of you in your own setting.

The aforementioned noted, I am asking you guys to help present a more professional example of AMA members, policies and discussions.

Don't get me wrong, I am far from perfect and can let my ego get the better of me sometimes too. But in this matter, I think we should examine the example we are setting.

Personally I would like to see this thread closed, and deleted.

Sincerely,
L. Liesner

AGR, all correct. Except this...
I don't think this forum really DOES have any real effect on public perception...it certainly has no bearing on what AMA actually does. AMA started ignoring it years ago, they know it's nonsense.
When there is an election...just take a look at whoever looks like they are winning on the internet, and put your money down on the opposite. Every time. Whoever campaigns hardest on the net, odds are they will lose in the real world.
I am perfectly happy to see these charachters hang themselves.
I tried hard to tell everyone who they were REALLy dealing with with Horrace and the like, and some still don't believe. Well, if they cannot see, nothing I can do. Not that it matters anyway.
The only real bummer is these people made it impossible to actually HAVE a serious discussion about AMA...
You bring up pretty much any subject, be it control line diameters or whatever, and sooner than later they start in with "wasting $58, palace in Muncie, DB is evil, if I were king...blah blah blah..."
Not a really huge loss, just a shame. It's not going to change unless we ban some people.
Maybe just ban anybody running for office.
But this whole JB/HC thing here, it's about as petty and awful as I have seen...I am EMBARRASSED for both of them.

Tiger,

It was MEANT to be a joke, but maybe there IS some credibility to my idea for an "If I ran the Zoo" forum.

I agree with you that some people make it hard to have intellegent discussion of AMA issues. I guess we'll just have to learn to work around them somehow.

I agree Mr. L,
This is why I own my own field, no longer belong to the AMA, and I make the rules. My buddies sign the waiver, we do what we want, and dont have all the b-s that goes with being AMA members.
