The AMA has announced the possibility of creating an online presence for aeromodeling newcomers. What do y'all think it should contain?

Nothing. No more than is currently on their site right now. I really don't feel good about them getting more involved in the web.

Default ????????????

WHY????????????????????????????????????????????
THEY ARE NOT ENVOLVED WITH ANYTHING INVOLVING MEMBERS NOW, I WOULD LOOK AT THIS AS A MOVE FOREWARD, ALL THEY WANT TO DO NOW IS CHANGE DUES AND THE CD'S, I AM STILL HOPING FOR A LEADERSHIP CHANGE AS WE HAVE NONE NOW, BEST OF LUCK HORACE.

Well, HORACE is definitely NOT a solution. And he's NOT going to get elected. So lets not worry about that.

In a way, you are correct on both points. Although he sees a need for a change and solution, in the large scheme of things, there is not much that he can do to change our hobby's direction.

No, I also don't think he will get elected, although I will definitely vote for him.

Take care,

Default Back on the topic

The AMA wants to develop a web site catering to the needs of new fliers, park fliers (who may or may not know of the AMA), and those expressing a casual interest in the hobby.

It is a very focused drive at more than public relations, more than a membership drive. It is an attempt to bring folks in through the organization.

That sounds okay. I don't care for their "endorsement" of RCairport, though. It just does not seem appropriate...
