Default Simple Question

Perhaps I'm mistaken in this, but I was under the impression that when a thread is locked, the Moderator/Administrator who takes it upon himself to do this will at least give the reason for taking this action. The thread talking about locking down the AMA forum was summarialy locked, with no reason given, or even who did it. There was no flaming, name calling, or insulting going on at all. Just good honest dialogue. What the H**L? Over...

Hey, if a mod feels the thread was to boring to exist, then just post

Attention: Excesively Boring Thread- LOCK
El Moddo

Maybe it was an Arguing Mod in thread, Maybe it was Nathan not liking his name used, Maybe STL had a friend kill it, maybe it just locked ityself...

... maybe we would not be wondering if the Locker just said something, anything, in thread or even PM the thread starter..... Am I not suposed to restart it, who knows, it was a MysteryLock

Might I suggest this question be better directed to a Moderator via PM, rather than trying to stir up something in a public forum?

Actually, it sounds like a great question to be in the public forum.

Maybe they lock them down because they are in the wrong category??? This thread belongs in the policies forum.

Maybe we need a poll & let folks take guesses at why it was locked
Then at Chistmass we can get the Locker to answer... it will be fun!

I'm not sure what that was locked, but this one can be taken up with the moderators directly rather than in the forum as a thread.
