Seems interesting that D1 has only 1 winner. I know that my club applied in D1. Why is D1 only have a single winner and all other Districts have several?

I find this interesting.....

It may have something remotely tied to how many clubs applied.

I'm the President of the Frederick Model Aircraft Club (331) in District IV. I've been on the road for the past two weeks, so I don't know if there is something else in the mail, but we're looking forward to seeing how this works out. I thought they were only going to pick one or two clubs per district, and was surprised to see we were on the list, but they may have gotten more applications than expected, and decided to spread the wealth around a little thinner. It may also be a district by district decision. Our plan is to try to get some of the other clubs in the area to participate with us if they're interested.

I see Jetero won in the Houston area. Those guys really know how to step it up and make it happen.

Well we, the Rogue Valley Flyers (#1408), had hoped to be selected as we have an on going educational program in this area. Looks like 3 clubs in Oregon were selected, all of which are hundreds of miles apart, so we should all have large areas to draw from. Can't wait to get this started!
