To everyone and not Mode One alone,
I find this exit poll interesting. The write in 9%, the second place vote is 12%, 3rd candidate 1% with 9% undecided or not voting. I know this is probably not scientific but it looks like the candidates selected by the EC may have not been the best representative of the AMA.

Jug,
With only 56 people responding, you think you can see anything worth while here? All I see is 36 of those people saying the EC made the right choice.

Polls are great.
Just prior to the Govenator, one California party was flooding the media with polls showing how the people didnt want to have a Recall Election.... and how did that turn out for that party? Wasnt there like over 50 names on the ballot, and the winner had 70%. It would have been higher but a bunch of folks voted for McLintock(sp?, Treas) after making sure Arnie had an insane lead.
and yet the polls spewed all over the media showed the recall as unwanted.
Just wondering how some will spin it that this poll is accurate & trustworthy,
but the Monopoly poll cant be taken seriously because posters are just a bunch of yahoos

Whats worse Red is when the number two man on the ticket can't garner more votes than a write in candidate who isn't even running a campaign. Kinda makes me wonder what would have happened if the hocus pocus method of picking candidates would have allowed a real debate on the issues.

I dont know if WriteIn will come in 2nd Place or 3rd,
but we all pretty much see the 3 nominated guys will not be the top 3 placers.
Too bad we couldnt get a guy that will place top3 nominated over a guy that wont

When I lived in Huntsville I was concerned that Alabama schools were lacking, but this bad? Jug, stick with your axle business you will starve to death as a political analysis.
It's ANALYST, not analysis .
Next time, hire an 8th grader to check your grammar before you make a joke about someone elses' education.

And what is posted here on the AMA topic at R/CU, is the gosple? Come on, because of the caustic nature of many folks here on the AMA topic thread, I think far more people stay away from here, then visit, let alone actually post! This means any statistics garnered from here, have no meaning!

Agreed. It would be interesting to see how a similar poll would compare if it were posted in another forum, like the clubhouse. Then see which one comes closest to paralleling actual voting.

Perhaps Hoss can answer a question: Will AMA publish the actual numbers when the vote is concluded?

It can be expected that some will argue that these are not the actual numbers and a new thread will be created to beat that to death over for the next several months.

Special forms were sent to Florida members with the chads pre-dangled to avoid confusion later...

It doesnt matter, In my opinion any one of the official canidates will be clones of what we already have, it's really to bad, Hoss should have been on the ballot he would have been the only one with the stones to shake things up and make changes that are desperatly needed. Oh well I will just sit back and see what happens but I really think it will be buisness as usual.

What changes do you feel are needed and I'not trying to be a smart guy, here. Maybe there should be another iteration on this common theme here on this forum.

Well, from not knowing much about the folks running, I voted for Mathewson since he had a forum on here first. I also liked his answers, probably because he was catering to everyone....
Oh well, I would have voted for Hoss, but since he's not running as a write in, I decided to vote for someone on the ticket.

Well Well, i was flamed earlier as backward and uneducated because i didn't see the 65% who voted for Mathewson. This post only proves my point more. As the poll is now, one vote separates the second place man and the write in candidate who isn't even running a campaign. Had this mystery candidate been on the ballot and we had a real difference of positions stated by the candidates, i think it is safe to assume this could have been a real race.

Hey STL, do you know where the most dangerous place is in D.C.? I think it is in between Schumer and the nearest camera!

The only thing that makes Schummer dangerous are the people who actually believe what he says holds weight. That includes the current AMA President who responded to his last threat by telling AMA members to answer any media questions with a simple "i don't know".

I have a feeling that this sampling is not going to have much of a margin of error.
First a NY AMA President ... the comes a NY President ... dolp ...
