Muncie site
Here is a question about using the Muncie location for a special group. It is for all groups right? It is only Jan. 2 and it looks like the calndar is full. So what is the policy when requesting dates.
I hate to think it is for the same groups year after year. This would look like excluding other groups. I just looked at the calendar and its seems like I see the same CD over and over. If anyone knows please let me know.
Thanks

There are a number of events held there on an annual basis and this year the F3C Helicopter World Championships are being held there. The NATS take up about 5 or 6 weeks. IRCHA has a huge Jamboree (helicopters) every year. Then consider that there are less than 52 weeks of flying weather and suddenly there are not that many open weekends.
I'm not sure how early the booking starts, but I am sure you can get an answer if you call HQ.

RE: Muncie site
I will have to give them a call but I think your right. This appears that if your group is not already been there using the site, your group will be excluded from using the site.
If that is the case, Maybe the AMA should split the cost of the fields to those who are allowed to use the field. I will call them[:@]

Not knowing what you have in mind, I don't know if this will help, but last year during the Extreme Flight Championships(XFC), they allowed open flying for 2.4 only on another part of the property. It's a very large open area, on both sides of the road.

Crash,
Yap, the place is busy, but get on the phone and talk to Joyce Hagar and see what they have available and go from there. I know that for us in soaring there is usually open flying and on some occasions there has been FF and rocket activeties going on too. With 2.4 available, the latitude allowed on the field is getting larger.
