FCC revising part 95, AMA recommendations
Seems nobody noticed that the FCC is revising part 95 [link=http://www.fcc.gov/Daily_Releases/Daily_Business/2010/db0607/FCC-10-106A1.pdf](FCC 10-106)[/link] the AMA seems to have submitted comments but all I can find is a [link=http://www.modelaircraft.org/files/AMA-CommentsOnPart95-DRAFT.pdf]"draft" copy[/link].
Basically the 27, 72 and 75 MHZ frequencies and land/surface/air rules remain the same.
Gone are the rules for servicing equipment (IE: you can change your own crystals)
And most of the other rules are gone.
Seems while the FAA is getting tougher the FCC is going the other way.
I wonder if the AMA will revise their rules when the changes become law (final FAA response to reccomendations is Sept. 20, 2010)
