A Good Sign
 

AMA's General Liability Insurance program runs from April through March 31. That is also the applicable period of Club Charters.

For a number of years, while recognizing those Event Sanction Applications received in advance of a current insurance year, AMA has not mailed out the actual Sanction packages until the Insurance is settled for that year. For a few recent years that has caused some concern for Event CDs (Contest Directors, not a computer item!!;)) that had Spring events, especially those in April, as the insurance negotiations were running right down to the wire.

I have now received the packages for my 3 sanctioned events scheduled for the 2005 insurance year. I take that as evidence that the 2005 insurance program is already settled, which IMO is a positive thing. However it has come to be, I have to pass Kudos to the AMA this time. That's a good sign.
