I have a Mercury that has been in storage for well over two years. I fired it up today to check out prior to putting it into a Boomerang Sprint. It ran great, but the EDT is all black on its display, as if the contrast were turned up way too high. Also, it is not powering itself off after 15 or 20 minutes like it is supposed to. It stayed black for at least 1.5 hours. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong? Any similar failures and solutions? I can run the turbine, but I have no feedback for RPM or temps (I'd sure like to).

I have two Olympus engines, I think they are the US made ones and they have the older ecu. Can you convert to full auto start and if so, what is the cost? You may pm me or answer here. Thx Bennie!
