HI, can i convert my ASU to electric start, to avoid scuba tanks, my old version of mercury have a up grade electric start and i woul like to start it from my ASU is that posible?
my idea is interchange starter air valve for electric actuator inside ASU,

Normaly ECU sends the order to ASU to opends start valve to spin up rpms

MY idea is ECU sends start order to ASU to start electric motor to spin up rpms

Hi Gonzalo,

Yes, it's possible to replace the valve by a relay which will provide the electric starter with power. Please take in account that putting directly power on the starter will lead to high currents.
