I would have to say my biggest dislike is the people that use these forums to promote hatred and discord with their acidic remarks. I like RCU and RCG because I love this hobby and have learned a lot from them. 48 years in the hobby and still more new stuff to learn and experience! When the ''trolls'' come out I wish they would quit posting their negative attitudes and go attend a therapy session or something like it.

I have a foam Sapac L-39 that could use that.
Of course in reality if you go THAT far, you may as well just avoid foam ( and the extra work ) too...
Sapac has a nice L-39 in Fiberglass of exactly the same size as the foamy... though it requires a bit more power... Wonderful plane BTW...

Nah...
It's that a factory which produces foamies, can also produce other products and retool easily... ( foam is cheap to make & form ).
Balsa, fiberglass or composite, Arf manufacturing is not highly automated and requires a lot of manual labor.
If the market tanks, the ARF company has no other revenue stream and withers away.

Having purchased a few, I have had nothing but grief from them.
Worse still is the new "throwaway" attitude, and ignorance towards building in general.

I'm against NASCAR as well. What a disgrace to our society. Want an example.......look at the unnecessary noise these races make. And we're concerned about the noise at our flying fields....Let me get this straight....they run restrictor carb plates to slow the cars down and straight exhaust....for what reason??????? Why not muffler the cars, keep them quiet and probably slow them down a little to boot. Bonus. Better yet...just desolve the series. Let's all watch Supercross!!!!!!!!!

I really like ARFs. I have just enough attention span to assemble an ARF. After a few weeks (making modifications, substituting parts, etc) of assembly I'm done, and I want to fly.
I'm not afraid to remove covering and repair or rework. I don't have enough space to leave a kit out on a table for months at a time without something getting lost or damaged.
I respect and appreciate kits, but I truly enjoy a quality ARF.
Now, Nascar... I'm not a fan (but I don't hate it either) but if we could get those boys to run on some kind of renewable fuel, it could have a pretty major impact on our environment and economy.
And rap? Well, nothing good to say there.[:'(]

Rap ain't music, it's like listening to some evil ba$tard torturing a cat. Foam, on the other hand, serves several good uses, but making an airplane out of it isn't one of them...
