I am already looking towards the Fall and looking for a project plane. I know its early August but you gotta plan early
I am looking for a nice ARF to put together and want it semi 3d capable. I have done research and would appreciate any input from you guys and also want to hear whats in the pipeline from you

The poll is for myself as im looking among these to purchase as my fall project. Stable and Extreme is what im looking for..if there is such a thing :stupid: I have yet to read about a plane thats stable but also capable of 3D for under $300 and doesnt look ugly and is scale/semi scale like the Extra's, CAP's etc.

Galen I was looking at those as well, seem a bit pricey but we will see what they produce. If the Sig Extra can hang on the prop and some blenders and other mild 3d then ill get that

I have the Hostetller Liberty Sport plans with the kit from Precision Kit Cutters. I bought it at Toledo and I can't wait to dig in. It'll be my first gasser.

They may be a bit pricey, but they may be worth it too... I'll of course know more this fall after I get mine... I'll of course keep everyone posted with my experiences...

I was just thinking about the prices of the H9 29-31% models and the Extreme Flight RC models seem to be in line with them. The Extreme models are supposed to be much lighter though...

agree on that, the Extremes are light but a bit $$$$ We will see, if they dont release the Yak at a decent price I might have to go with the Sig Extra and just be satisfied with a Torque Roll or 2 and IMAC Basic runs...

I'll be assembling a Kangke Laser 2000 with a Brison 3.2. Unlike some of you guys, I won't have to wait until the spring to fly it !

untrue pal I have flown in snow

we put those hand warmers in our pockets and run up for a flight at a time then warm up. Its not too bad. We have had some good dog fights with our electrics in snow.

For me, it's more like fall projects:

WM 1/4-scale Cub
Sportsman Aviation Super Decathlon
and of course, the bought, then sold, and now bought again GP Patty.

I'm sure one of more of these will bleed over to a winter, maybe even spring, project.

Default Sig Four Star 120 Kit Bash

I am going to try and do a kit bash of the 120 into as close of scale look as I can get it of an AirTractor 802.

This is the Fire Fighting / Slurry dropping version of a crop duster made by AirTractor in Texas.
