CG for a Cedar Hobbies Lift Meister
A friend bought a Cedar Hobbies Lift Meister (without the engine) at an RC auction. Looks like a "fun" plane.
He would like to know exactly where the CG should be.
Any help would with the CG location be greatly appreciated.
Plus engine suggestions would be also be helpful.
thanks,
Bill

RE: CG for a Cedar Hobbies Lift Meister
I am running a Saito 150 on mine and it lifts off in 10 feet. it floats forever on landing and I suspect it needs to be heavier to get it down consistantly on our 400 ft long field. The instructions reccomend a 120 2stroke to equivalent gas.
instructions list the cg as on the main spar. I balanced mine exactly like that and it flies and handles great. I like to call it a big marshmallow as it just floats around and is lots of fun to mess around with. I plan to install a gas motor to learn how they work and I also have a large candy drop bay installed for fun fly events.

Thanks guys for all the information.
He is a very good flyer but wants to "fly by the book" and is usually over prepared.
He was also talking about a Saito 150 so I'll share your experience with him.
I am sure he will like this plane.
Regards!

I just got a Sachs 3,.2 gas engine with CDI and I have a Lift Master. Will the Sachs be too much engine if flown with the throttle? What is max engine that has been used? Thank you very much.
