That 4 cyl engine will sound like a Honda ...kinda. A 3 cylinder engine has a neat sound all there own. Like a Triumph motorcycle! You would know if you went to a cycle race....there is not a better sound. You can pick out the 3 cyl 4 stroke race cycles by sound!!!!!!!!

In a word - AWESOME!! I wonder what prop is being used and what rpm the engine is running at? Gotta love that prop ripping! There's also another vid that shows some of the model's construction and pics of the engine.

How much would an engine like that cost? What kind of fuel is used?

Hi guys
I'm not really sure if you all here understood what you see in the video.
First, this is a prototype of a german engine. The size 200 does not mean it has got a displacement of 2.00 cu inch. In germany we measure displacements in cu centimeter.
200 means 200 cu centimeter. That corresponds to 12.20 cu in.Maybe the picgives you a sense for thesizeof the engine. You cannot compare it to any saito. Even the biggest saito looks like atoy compared to this one.
The prize for the engine? Well, it's not released yet, as already mentioned its a preproduction model.
But it's smaller brother the 130 enginecosts with ignition system and carb 2475€. Thats about 3670$.
I guess you nowhave a clear imagination what they will ask for the 200 engine.
The airplane is indeed 1/4.5 size.
