Epoxy Finishing Resin?
I'm new to Bob Smith's Epoxy Finishing Resin 20 minute epoxy.
I was ondering if you can use it to fuel proof areas like firewalls?
Does it have any bonding strength?
Thank you, for your assistance.

RE: Epoxy Finishing Resin?
I have used BSI epoxies for this. I usually thin it down with alcohol first so it will brush better. I also usually throw a piece of light glass on top just to make sure (it never can hurt ).

RE: Epoxy Finishing Resin?
Don't use it for structural connections except perhaps to apply fiberglass cloth to wing centers after first joining them with standard epoxy. Its great for fuelproofing and doesn't need to be thinned.

RE: Epoxy Finishing Resin?
Thinning epoxy greatly ruduces it's strength. What happens it it never really fully cures thus will not be completely fuel proof either. get the correct resin for the job or use a heat gun to lower the viscosity while brushing on the surface. Obviously use slow cure when using heat as it will kick off faster.
