Default Giant Scale ARF's - WAR BIRDS

Okay, I'll bite. If you are want our input then at least take us seriously. The industry needs a better selection of 1.20 size Warbirds. If you must make them an ARF then at least cover them with respectable Ultracoat or something of quality.
If you are going to use crap for covering, then produce the plane as an ARC so you won't have to waste my time.
Price- Look at this, I buy a Giant Scale Planes 68inch P-51 at $275. They also produce a new Focke Wulf of similar size for $375. What person would buy this? Sorry but a decent 1.20 size ARF Warbird is $400.
Also Cermark has stopped making prop jets, why don't you start?
How about a nice 1.20 size Spitfire and Messershmidt. Get Robert going on this!

Default Giant Scale Warbird ARF's

Which ever giant warbirds you plan on producing, please consider making one or 2 of them available to R/C REPORT Magazine for a thorough and honest review. Manufacturers can claim a lot of things, but a good, honest review by an independent 3rd party should show exactly how good a model really is.

Also, I have to agree with a lot of the other post-ers, make available an ARC version. Most modelers would like to own something unique and not a cookie-cutter plane.

Default Giant Scale ARF's - WAR BIRDS

Not only would it be nice to see some GOOD scale warbirds for gas, but how about some GOOD .40 and .60 size warbirds. I mean scale outlines and wings. Not these sorta scale jobs that are around.

I would buy a good .60 Hellcat ARF or ARC in a heartbeat, as long as it looked right, had tough retract mounts, and flaps. As a mater of fact I would buy any well built and not always seen warbird ARF/ARC in the .40 or .60 size range. If it was built as described above.
I think a lot of us would even if it meant the price was a bit more.

Default Giant Scale ARF's - WAR BIRDS

Hi Matt,
Terry has been telling us about your new position. When's the P-38 coming out. We're waiting! I will cast a vote for the FW-190D9. That long nose warbird looks so sinister just sitting on the ground. The Bearcat would be nice for the good guys. It should be available in an ARC model and should be set up for flaps and retracts. Wingspans at least 80 inches for the IMAA types. I would like to see a Me-109 or Spitfire, but only if the retracts are the scale location. Keep us informed and let us know if you get back down to Corpus Christi.

Try a Hellcat. It's just popular enough, and nobody has one. Or a bearcat.
Don't beleive everybody when they say you ought to do a Val or a Savoia Marchetti or some other off the beaten track bird. I want one, and a FEW other guys want one, but EVERYBODY else wants a cub or a mustang. Just how it goes. Go ahead and make a IAR-80 Rumanian fighter, but only if you have a mustang and 109 and such that will actually SELL to support you while you warehouse a shipment of unsaleable but interesting aircraft.

Default TigerCat

I want to reiterate the Tigercat. I think a 100" tigercat would be perfect. make it for 1.20 to 2.4 with good solid retracts not something to just get by.

Default Lesser Knowns?

Hows about some of the lesser known Warbirds like the

-Wildcat....I haven't seen ANY models of these yet
-P-39 Airacobra, or even the SuperCobra
-Japanese Tony
-Me262.....using 2 prop engines for power
-Me110
-Hawker Hurricane
-Helldiver
_TBM Avenger

As for construction, give us ARC's and beefy retract options with the ability to use larger then normal wheels so those of us flying off of grass can enjoy them.

Default I GOT A BETTER IDEA!!!!!

How about a Balsa Nova 120 ARF for $325 and I will order one today! You already got a great bunch of kits-they fly great- do the bigger ones in ARFs--I think you may have a successful thing if you eliminate the binding pull pull thing.

Default Warbird choices

Here's my choices which will match some of the others:

T28 Trojan- 1/5 scale would be nice.

Grumman F8F-2 Beacat

Bell P39 Aircobra

F2G Corsair

P51H Mustang

P63 Kingcobra

Hellcat

And if you wanted to do something really fun, making a 1/5 scale size of a few of these on the list done up after their Reno racing variants would be really cool. There were quite e few to choose from especially the Bearcat if it were done up as Conquest 1, the P63 as "What Price Speed", there were a few of the F2G's from the Cleveland Air Races as well a some P39's. Sure would be different.

Default BIG ARFs

I would really like to see someone put out a United States Warbird with twins. Any twin would make me happy. Nothing is more of a crowd pleaser than twin gasser as it takes to the air and returns with a low pass with the gear up. Ken....The "BALSA BANDIT"

Default Large Scale Warbird Desires....

Gentlemen,

Large (80"+) wingspan, flaps, retracts, glass cowl, pull-pull rudder, optional elevator, servo in wing and set up for minimum 35 gas if not slightly bigger (ZDZ 40...yeah!). ANY WWII Japanese fighter. P40 (scale please), FW (Dora preferred), Aircobra P39 or 63 (engine in middle?, driveshaft?? to much to ask?), Typhoon, Beaufighter (Bad ass airplane), Stuka, Junker J88, ...... the list gets uglier; better stop.

Thanks,

Horrido

Default 1/6 scale

Please o please see about making some 1/6th size warbirds. The new line of G.I. Joe type figures include some really great pilot figures and they are 1/6th scale. Also, how about leaving the cockpit open, or have an available scale cockpit.
Hans
P.S. Still hoping for a Hellcat!!!!!

Default warbirds

Spitfire would be my chioce.............

Everyone above has there own Preference, but one thing is whatever Warbirds you make in ARFs, make sure there SCALE !!!

example.....

When was the last P-51 ARF (and there are afew of them out) that had the option of installing Guns on the wings ....

its the small things that count in making a nice Scale ARF
