Default F-18 or f-15... help?

alright im looking at two different kits for my 70mm edf and electronics, needing opinions about both and taking suggestions.

first off is the fixed lg f-18 from nitroplanes,

second is the f-15 from hobbyking

any pros and cons about either of them will be much appreciated

Neither.

I used to have a F-16 from nitroplanes and it took full power and about 300ft to get off the ground. and flying it took full power just to stay up. My friend bought a F-15 from them as well and it didn't even have enuf power to take off. We then took my 70mm out and put it in his F-15 and it would fly. So expect to upgrade the motor and ESC if you buy one.

I'm partial to the F-18 ( love those SuperHornets! ).

The Exceed flies very well with the right setup.

Both models use the same plastic "cages" to hold the battery.

It's a bit easier to cut away the "top" of the cage ( top when the plane sits upright ) on the F-18, to install bigger packs. The F-18 also has dual cages that can help adjust the C.G.

The HK plane comes with plastic retracts, the Exceed has no retracts.

Neither plane has working rudders.

In both cases you're better off replacing the provided EDF with something better.

On my F-18 I VERY LIGHTLY sprayed Top Flight Clear Coat spray on the plane to harden the finish a bit. This added additional resiliancy to the paint.

However it must be applied VERY VERY lightly as it can and will attack the foam.
