SlimLine Pilot Stand
Anybody got one of these, or seen it or used one?
I'm just wondering if I have purchased a pig in a poke...
Had to get something, though. The Ultimate fuse keeps falling off the Robart stand (which is designed for 40 size models), and I just don't do the PVC pipe thing.
$39.99 and TWELVE BUCKS shipping! Man; it had better be delivered by a pair of Cuban virgins, etc., etc.
Still, it looks like a neat, usable piece of kit. If not, it won't be the first time I've been suckered by ad photos...<G>

Catching a free ride on old hobbsy again. I somehow feel like I'm getting something for nothing; is that healthy???
Anyway, the Pilot Stand arrived today. Hoepfully the pic will go through.
This sucker is big; plenty large enough for all but perhaps a 50% or so. Big enough to have me scratching my head as to where I'm going to store it, that's for sure.
Was it worth fifty one bucks ($39.95 + $12 shipping; and UPS did NOT send two Cuban virgins to deliver it)?
Yeah, I think so. It is very sturdy, adjustable, and the pads are easily-replaceable foam pipe insulation. You could lose things in all the tray compartments. All in all, I've spent a half C-note on far more ludicrous things in my time. I think I'll keep it...

Yeah, I had one of the FliteCraft(?) boxes too. Beautiful workmanship, and well laid-out internally; but it just took up too much space in the ride.
Besides, I wasn't looking for something to transport with, although this will do that fine.

RE: SlimLine Pilot Stand
hey Guys-
I'm looking for something to transport my Hangar 9 Advance 40. As you know, it is a trike gear with removable wing. It is difficult to transport with the nose gear on and I hate to have to remove and replace nose gear everytime I go flying. Any suggestions or ideas would be greaty appreciated.
Thanks,
Pipeman
