Default Whats with all the Great Planes ARFs??

So I made a visit to tower hobbies today, and Ijust happened to notice how many ARFs have been discontinued. It seems like all the kit prices are going up, and all the ARFs are being discontinued. Is there something going on here? I know they usually get rid of an airplane if they don't sell enough of them or have alot of problems with them, but I know the RV-4 was a great airplane to alot of people, and now they discontinue it. Is there a reason for all these games being played by the model airplane companies as far as kits and arfs go?

Thanks!

Jason

My guess is that the original manufacturer is increasing run size or price maybe both. GP has to make a decision based on good business models. The other thing I have noticed is that the newer crop of r/c modelers have a limited attention span. If it's not new then the interest is not there.
