Which Roto Flow did you use. I am going to start on mine just as soon as I can finish my Dirty Birdi, so I just might go ahead and order it.

I used the 10 oz. tank. Plenty to fly for a long time...more than 30 minutes.

Did you have to modify the hole the tank fits in to fit the roto flow tank in ? I notice the Hanger 9 tank is kind of narrow...I think it is only 2 1/8" wide but it is 17 oz , which is a pretty nice size....

Hey guys...
My PA-18 is finished and I thought I'd post some photos of the final phase of the build... getting her on floats. Carbon fiber strips were added to the front of the floats as the bottom gets scraped up from the sand and small gravel along the shoreline.
Now all I have to do is wait until the lake unfreezes, which typically happens sometime in April!

Look at pages 17 & 18
Step 3 on page 18 shows the dummy pushrod
passing thru the top wing slot into a hole located in a former inside the
aileron servo area

Step 1 shows the control rod with a clevis on only one end, and step 3 is the picture that shows the control rod going through the hole in the former.

There are two pushrods for each aileron servo, one on the top of the wing and one on the bottom of the wing. The one on the top of the wing is a dummy setup and its assembly and installation is shown in Steps 1-3 on p. 16 of the manual. The reason the one on the top of the wing is provided is to replicate the appearance of the full-scale Cub. The assembly and installation of the one on the bottom of the wing, which attaches to the aileron servo and is functional, is shown in Steps 4-7 on page 16, Steps 8-14 on p 17 and Steps 15 and 16 on p. 18.
I hope this helps.

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub
When you look at your pkg of pushrods you will ,find two real short ones with threads on both ends , those are for the ailerons then there are a set that are about 4.5 ins long with threads on both ends..Those are for the flaps , then there is a set that is about 4.5 ins long with threads on only one end .. This is the dummy push rods....The dummy push rods hook up from the aileron horn and go thru the wing slot on the oposit side from the hatch side..The non threaded end goes thru the little hole you see inside the wing...You can see pics of it in the manual...It is a bit cunfusing because it is so simple and does nothing....

I had the same question about the lighting kit. I dry fitted the rudder and tried to pull wires through. It was no problem, if I turned the plane upside down when pulling through. So I am almost done and I am not worried at all about putting the lights in later. I think I am going to go with the lighting kit from dimension engineering as they are super bright and I like the programmability that the controller has.

The Dimension Engineering led's come mounted on a little pcb board. How do you plan on fitting them in the little housings? I have used them in other projects, and they are excellent and super bright led's, but you can be limited in mounting options. I don't see how they can be mounted in the scale housings, and have a good all around viewing angle. If you do use them, please show us how you mounted them.

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub
This is virtually unrelated but I happened upon the older red H9 Super Cub with a Saito FA-125. I acquired it from a deceased club member but I'm moving and can't bring it with me. Anyone know approximately how much it is worth fitted with the 125? There are 3 Futaba S3010's in it for (rudder and ailerons) with S3004's elsewhere. Runs on a R617FS FASST receiver and a 7C transmitter. Located in the Ohio area...if interested PM me but just curious on the value, not really experienced enough to know. Everything is new, never flown.

On page 29 of the manual ,instruction # 7 Says Attach the tail wheel bracket to the fuselage. The lower tail strut bracket is installed at this time...The pic shows an arrow pointing to a small bracket on top of the tail wheel bracket....Now I can't find this little piece..It is not with all the rest of the tail wheel parts..Besides that I don't know what it does..Can somebody help me out here ? Thanks for any input

I'm pretty sure that bracket is where the lower horizontal stab brace fastens..............see page 32........step 2 under stabilizer support installation.

My Dash Had a lot of smoke stuck to it from the lazer cutting process and did not look all that great so I took some alcohol and a Q tip and cleaned it as best I could...It helped a lot....It Would have been better to do it before it was put together but it still looks much better....

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub
I am in the process of mounting my G26 to the front of my PA 18 and is it just me or does it seem like the firewall is a bit lite ? I was thinking about gluing the drill guide on the front for a little extra thickness plus I am going to use Baltic birch ply instead of standoffs....Has anybody done anything to reinforce their firewalls? Thanks Ken
