I flown mine and I love the way it tracks. like its on rail. Power is ok but as an avid hot dogger lots of power is my motto. unlimited vertical ? no way! a smoker??? worst idea I ever had for this .it turns into a gutless piper cub...lol and also an 8oz smoke tank is just enough to do three passes and it over. DOES NOT WORTH THE EFFORT FOR CLEANING THIS MESS.
I have titanium servos all around.
Keep the weight to a minimum and you will improve greatly the vertical.
it will hold a hover easy but make sure you know what you are doing cause do not count on the engine to rocket you out of trouble.
Bowman ring is on his way I hope I will get good results.
Actually its just so close to be perfect. you can feel that's it is missing just a few more tenth of HP to be be an awesome plane.

Surprising that then dle35ra is not sufficient power. May be the OS GT33 will be better?

the dle 35 is very powerful.i had this engine in a pilot rc sbach 72```its crazy how much vertical I had.
the exact same engine and the same prop in the ultimate and the fun factor is gone.
if you want to fly scale then its ok but do not expect this bipe to be a missile.
when I lifted the box at the store I wandered if there was a boat anchor hidden in that box lol
also the size of this plane is pretty big for a 30cc all my buddy at the club where eager to see it fly when I told them there was a small 35 in it.
its a lot of fun to fly as long as you expect too much in the vertical department with this engine
my true opinion I find it boring as hell with such limited power

From my experience with the GP Reactor Bipe, the same prop wont help. Bipes act as wind tunnels, so you can make do with a smaller prop and not lose out of responce. Worth a try
