Default Kangke Howard DGA covering

Hello,
I'm looking for the matching blue covering for the Kangke Howard DGA.Kangke's instructions say it's Oracover which is supposed to be the same as Ultracote. The problem is none of the Ultracote blues match mine? Does anyone know where I can buy Oracover in the U.S? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,Tony

Take a small piece of your covering to your local hobby shop.
I believe the ultacote sky blue is possibly a match.

I contacted Kangke and they told me Ultracote blue will not match the Oracover they used at the factory.Very discouraging!

That is very strange. Usually to get the best deal they buy a large lot of an existing color. I can understand your being upset. That was very poor planning on the part of Kangke. People need to repair their airplanes.
Myself, I stripped mine down completely to do some modifications. I will be going with different colors. Too bad I did not save any of the old covering.

Barzini-how much covering do you need? I have some small scraps from mine if you need only a sot or two.

Maybe one of the blues they sell might be a close match? You can order it from Airborne models.

Hmm! I wonder if this can be applied over oracover/ ultracote. I put some ultracote on that's close but not the exact match. This shouldn't be so tough!

Anybody aware a Kangke Howard DGA build or general owners thread? I'm picking one up and love to read about the experiences of others.

cheers

I have one that I have stripped down and have made changes to it to make it more scale. Pretty much done except for the painting and covering that I will do this winter.
These are some of the changes I have made. I took a ton of pictures as I went along.

Wow...that's going to turn out nice! Especially dig the landing gear mods. Have you selected color yet?

Cheers

Awesome bash. I'm going to keep mine original until this season is over. Then I might try some mods. Right now I'm too anxious to fly this beauty.
