Default Gas Engine for World Models Ultimate 120R

I would appreciate some assistance deciding on a gas engine for a plane which I have had NIB for some time now. The specifications are below:-

World Models Ultimate 120R

Wing Span
:
53.5 in / 1360 mm

Wing Area
:
989 sq in / 63.8 sq dm

Flying Weight
:
9.9 lb / 4480 g

Fuselage Length
:
56.0 in / 1420 mm

Engine Required
:
4-stroke 1.20

Requires
:
4-Channel Radio w / 5 standard servos

I have available a MLD 28cc gas engine and would like to know if there would be any major concern/issue with installing this engine in the model. From what I have seen the recommended 120 4-stroke engine weighs between 31.7 oz and 35.3 oz for an ASP FS120 or OS FS120 respectively. Comparatively, the MLD 28cc weighs 33 oz.

Thanks

A friend of mine flys that plane with a dle 20 and it will almost hover the plane. For barnstorming it does a great job. If I had both engines on hand I would go with the 28- I like hot rods!

Thanks for your straight up feedback, just what I'm looking for. I rather like the idea of making this baby a hot rod.
