Glad to hear it's on its way. Please do post it here so we can see if there is a difference in build between the two.
It would be nice to have some pictures of the build quality of these arf's like other companies do.

No experience with the T-Clip, but have been flying a Revolver for 3 seasons. Actually, assembling #2 plane now. Finally managed to destroy #1 to the point of no repair. What I wanted to add is that the Revolver is built like a lightweight brick. It uses foam core wings and stabilizer, so it's REALLY sturdy, allowing it to handle 20cc very nicely. I wouldn't call the resulting power outrageous like you might find in an all out 3D plane, but I would suggest it's for seasoned fliers. Somebody mentioned prop size, which is a good point to consider because of ground clearance. Normal 20cc will be looking for 16 or 17" props.
If the T-Clip is of conventional construction, a 15cc gasser, or even the 10cc Evo might be good options?

Thanks for the input ahicks. I've seen you quite a bit around the forums in my quest.
I'm new to gas except for the use of a blower, weed wacker and chainsaw lol . No tuning required, but I have nitro experience.
I've done lots of reading and from my understanding the gas evolution engines can be finicky.
I've considered the new 15cc from os max but the difference in weight from a 20cc is not much and more power to boot.As you said Prop clearance might be an issue,not sure till someone gets the plane or the manufacturer chimes in.

This is wandering off topic, but the Evo 10 is gaining a reputation for being hard to handle. It really isn't - if you can avoid thinking about your other glow and/or gas engine expereinces. There's a very well written section on how to tune the little guy in the owners manual, and it responds to tuning exactly as they say it does. No surprises. Suggest that if one will read the manual just prior to tuning it, they'll do MUCH better! It's not hard. It IS different! Also, don't try to get a final tune on it for the first few tankfuls (10?). After that the engine settles in nicely, and by time you get to 20 tanks, it's gas and go time. Very little tuning required after that.... -Al

As we are discussing power plants for this airframe its not off topic. .
Is it as reliable as a pumped carb? I know that the 10gx uses pressure from the muffler instead and a regulator in carb. Where the os gt15 uses a pump mounted on the back by the crankcase as does the DLE in carb.
Again this is for the sake of discussion for powering the 70" 60 size T- Clip.

Just got in from flying a couple more tanks though it. It's still locked in, haven't touched the carb for the last 10-12 tanks, spread out over the last 2-3 weeks of flying sessions, even though temps and humidity levels have varied quite a bit. Might be a little biased, but I'm impressed with the little guy. The biggest downside for me is that it doesn't flip start worth a darn. The rest of my gassers all flip start easily. In it's defense, it is cowled in. If it were an open engine setup, where you could get to the carb with your finger more easily, that might be a different story? Also, it doesn't take anything special in the way of an elec. starter to start it. I'm using a blue silicone insert on a 30 year old standard Sullivan that turns it over without hesitation - about what you would expect starting a glow .60?
O.S. looks interesting, but I'm not spending that kind of money on an engine. There was a day, but I'm retired now... -Al

What kind of performance can one expext from the 10gx on a 7-8.5# plane like the T- Tclip??
I hear what your saying on the os 15 price tag, but if you factor in the montly discount from Tower plus free shipping its not that much more than the 15gx evolution.
I kind of like os.
Then again as far as weight,power and price theres the DLE or VVrc 20cc.
I believe I read on Sigs site that they are sugguesting a 15" prop for the electric setup. I think a 16" would fit.

If it flies anywhere near as well as the smaller one, you're gonna love it !
I would thing a 4 stroke on the .70 range would be a nice fit for your T=Clips.
I doubt, construction wise, that there are any similarities. My E/P T-Clips is built lightly. I would assume the your E/G version will be built similar to the Rascal and Kadet Sport E/G airframes. Both fly well, by the way.

I ordered one at Toledo and they said I should have it by the end of August......we'll see. I'm thinking of putting an O.S. GT15 or GGT15 in it. Both engines are kind of pricey but they are O.S. and I've never had an issue with an O.S. engine in 45 years. I have a Rascal and it is a great plane. If the T-Clips is even close it will be a fun flyer.

I have the 72" Rascal, and the smaller T-Clips. I find the little T-Clips to be a lot more fun !
The T-Clips is more agile, but still flies well at slower speeds. It's a fun plane, all around.
I'm excited to hear reports on the larger version.

1000-1600 watts will do depending on what type of flying your looking to do.
At the max listing of 8lbs. 1600 watts is 200 watts per lb..
8 minute flight time and
Waiting to charge batteries (especially high capacity ones) is getting old.
Gas for me on the next plane.

Hi Everone! The wait is over!! Mine are on the way. I have a proto model and you will love it. As far as putting a gas engine in it! The 20cc engines will be way to big. Go with the evolution 10cc gas. Thats what I did. The other will be electric like my Kadet sport!

Hi! I will be using a 46 Hobby people motor and a 4 cell 4300mah battery. I have a 91 and a 6 cell in my kadet. Lots of power. I also have it on floats. Also both have a 80 amp speed control
