Im thinking it is the one on the right while looking at the firewall. The motor box has right(as if you are sitting in the plane) thrust built into it. So if sitting in the plane it would be the left vertical line(right if looking at it) to compensate.this should center the prop in the cowl.
Si o no??

My plane has arrived can't wait to get out of work to check it out, only thing I'm missing is a fuel dot and switch setup... not sure what's the best setup to use either single switch or dual with dot... only using one batt unless I can't get CG right

I bought 2 separate switches. I just like it that way. The frame has holes that the single switches pretty much fit right in after poking a hole in the covering. And the fact that I got them on sale was a plus. . Check it out when you can, you'll see what I mean. With the all in one 2 switch you might have to do more work to fit it.
Mine came with a fuel dot but it doesn't have the o ring to hold the plug in. I just went to the local hardware store and bought them.

Yep you use the one on the right.
the rear of the motor goes to your right hand side looking at it from the front.
the fire wall will normally have a 3* degrees to the right to compensate for the
thrust on the engine.
so when you install the engine you can have a look at it from the rear end of
your model the prop will be at the center line of your model.
This will make your model track in a strait line on the ground and in the air.

Well I came home to this what a big disappointment. Should I send back and payout of pocket for shipping and hope the next one don't come in damaged. I could probably fix it myself. Damage to cowl, left rear elevator stab, Mounts for the cowl, engine bay is very weak along with the gear brackets no where near 90 degrees, lots of areas missing glue and the wings fit fine along with the stabs. the carbon wing tube is not tight because of close tolerance, its actually warp and not true in diameter.

UPS which I've never had problems with them. I've had so much stuff shipped from them we know the driver by name. unfortunately I wasn't home to sign for it the babysitter was. I will probably keep and see what TBM says or is willing to do.. Otherwise looks good lol. Really light I think to light for gas perfect for electric. One rough landing or thick grass field and the gear is coming off. Reminds me of the great planes revolver kit I have.

Thanks I'm more pissed that my brother in law who signed for didn't call me and tell me the box was damaged looked like someone taped it back together with clear shipping tape to close up the damaged area

I'm getting very pissed right now. I sure hope Troy Built didn't retape that box ! That would really be a low blow !
Appears you will be keeping the model ?

Yes I don't believe the repairs except for the elevator were major enough to wait 2 weeks for a new one but I will be calling them on Monday to see if they will send out a new stab half. And um sending all the pictures I took before I opened the box as proof. It's kinda 50/50 since the person that signed for said nothing to ups driver...

4.6 I think its easier to set up throttle linkage if you rotate the carb so that the arms are not upsidedown as the engine is.
Dont know you intended to do so or not, just thought I'd bring it up.

Ordered viton for the clunk line from McMcMaster-Carr yesterday and was here today by 2pm.
Tygon tubing won't let the clunk move around the tank as it should in different attitudes.
I ordered the soft not the firm kind,if anyone is interested in using it.

Thanks will keep that in mind what did you use for the tail wheel assembly I thought I had all the necessary parts but looks like I'm missing the bolt like screw with a hole drilled through it. My carbon bracket has a hole way to big for the wheel shaft, and there is a lot of play.

4.6ssguy,
Had the same problem with the tail wheel assembly. Emailed Troy Built, no response. Finally after repeated calls I got someone. They mailed me a 30cc tailwheel assembly as a replacement. Seems many of the 20CC Sbach kits have the same problem with the tailwheel assembly. It is a great looking airframe. The hardware kit is lacking to say the least. Gene is really convincing on the website video. The fact is that probably no one at Troy Built has built and flown this model. If so, they would be well aware of all the issues with this ARF. In the end the model worked out. Unrealistic not to provide a CG for a model that your selling in today's marketplace. Live and learn. Next time will definately pay a little more and go with a proven airframe. Redwing and Pilot RC are good examples of proven and company backed airframes. May be a little more pricey but worth it.
