Hey Guys;
If you have this plane on back-order with Tower Hobbies, hang in there!!!
I had mine out today at my club and had a blast. Every time I take her to the field, all of my club member ask to fly her!!!
Like someone has posted, you don't need flaps for landing, unless you want to do some short field landing.
I know for some of us, old man winter is just around the corner, but if you do get one and have it ready before he come, you will be very happy you did.
Over 55 landing and the gear blocks are good to go!!!

Right on Jet22b, I also was out yesterday and flew in the smoke, wish you Washington folks would keep it home, actually we are also producing a lot ourselves here in N. Idaho. My Escapade has quite a few flights now
and the only problem was losing an Aileron screw in flight. The whole batch are now Loctited with red, no need for more of that, also had to re-do the Muffler bolts. The DLE 35ra does produce lots of power and the airframe
pays the price, I am paying close attention to such, now more than ever.

Between flying and watching the big jet airtankers coming and going all day, because they were in a hurry they shortcutted close to our field so we watched closley to avoid any problems.

Here in California they are flying a fleet of MD-80's and man I did not realize how maneuverable that airplane can be, pretty good show sometimes.

I hear you Gizmo!!
Our field is so dry that we install two 55 gallon water tanks and we keep them full all year round.
The owner is happy we did that!! Yes it is very dry in our state and people have lost a lot.
I do a pre-flight on my plane the night before I go to the field and again at the field when I put it together!!
Maybe this come from my days of flying full scale!!

We just added two 2.5 gal H2o heavy water extinguishers along with a number of dry types! Our main tanker fleet is BAe 146's and one Erickson MD 80 (hauls A--) two off and on PV-2 Neptunes from Missoula and several ag types. Coeur D' Alene airport (Pappy Boyington), is not a controlled airport so in the smoke, it must be interesting......... The main tanker dispatch center is on the field as well as the re-fill,except a second re-fill has been added on the othere side. Things are not good in this part of the world as far as fire is concerned and when conditions are right fire wins over man!

Take it day by day!

I'm almost glad that I have too many projects that I can't order one. Because that new Escape looks pretty cool.

Hey Guys;
Big Brown just drop off #2 today!!!
So far everything look the same as #1. So over the winter I will be going with a smoke system on this bird.
Staying with the DLE 35RA engine also.
Like I said before, you will love this plane for the look and the way it flies.
Need any help or have question, please post!!

The correct name of the plane is Escapade, not Escape.

You can set the plane up either way. You cut the tab between the ailerons and flap or leave them tied together if you want to set up a flaperon control

Flaps are a trotal waste of servos, the plane slows enought to get me in trouble on landings, flaps would really mess me up!

I've heard that the plane slows down to where it almost floats in. I just ordered the 30cc version. I don't plane on utilizing the flaps either.

It slows down very well for landing. The flaps maybe help keep it from floating on by but they aren't really needed.
