Just re-read this thread. The gear was already on my model. I remember drilling and fitting the gear years ago. Been away to long now. I plan on getting this model back to the field this year. will need to practice on less demanding models first. Also will need to go through model and check all fasteners, replace batteries, and generally get reacquainted with this plane. Also would really like to add smoke.
Is there anyone paying attention to this old thread anymore? Still flying their pitts?

hello,
i will be starting my build shortly. I am considering using a gyro for stability, especially on the first flights. I will always have the ability to turn it off. I have 1 plane nib and a second that I have acquired enough parts that I will have a spare with a few more things like pushrods, wheels, etc. I have been delayed for months as my shop in the basement is under construction. Should we start a new thread or continue this one? Great planes Pitts special 2019 build?

My basement shop is also under construction. Had water leak into basement through cracks in foundation. Had to have foundation piered and most cracks sealed. Had French drain put in on interior as no accesss to area outside due to deck. Few more weeks and I should be good to go.
