I also saw the H9 Funtana 90 at Toledo and it's awesome. 69" span and $209. I expect this one will be hard to get for awhile. []
I forgot to ask when the release date is. DOH!

RE: Funtana 90!
The thing is im getting a plane for my saito .91. This is the only plane with what i want. I love the looks and the price. the guy at toledo for horizon said the .91 would hover the funtana 90. I have a somethin extra with a .72 and i love it. but i dont need another plane like that. Would this plane fit my needs?

Yeah the plane is already on www.horizonhobby.com
Its suppose to be 8lbs with some 1100 sq in of wing! So it should be a floater if kept light. I would say the Saito 120 sounds good for it, that or the YS 110

I too saw this at Toledo, and have been wanting one since. It really looked good. The one at toledo had the saito 100, and the vid looked awsome. But it was a prototype, and they usually come out lighter. I was thinking about the saito 120, but for about the same weight, and size you can get the 180! I think that would be a serious hot rod!

This might be a dumb question, but do you think I could put a small gas engine in this plane? Perhaps a Roto 25?
It has a lot of wing area so I figured the wing loading wouldn't suffer too much from the extra weight of a gas engine, but I'm not sure if there's enough room under the cowl for a small gas engine. What do you guys think?

We'll have to wait and see how it is built before deciding if it can handle the vibration, weight, fuel capacityand power of a larger glow or gas engine. I would prefer a plane that is built as light as possible and still hold together.

RE: Funtana 90!
i had a zdz40 on the one desert aricraft sells. It looks to be about that same size flew like a champ until i snap the wing doing a wall....
weakest (flying) quality was knife edge performance very strong 3d as the surfaces were all huge.....
