I just got quoted a H.S. price of 369.99 for this arf. I am waiting to see if a 2.4 gasser will work on it. It looks to be built with enough meat and the added tail braces will help the vibration. My only concern will be how easy I can sink the servos in the tail to help counter balance the weight of the gasser (brison). If it come out in the 12lb range it will be a nice flying bipe that is for sure.

Wow... the Cermark Pitts is of similar size and there is no way a 2.4 would fit. I'm going to put a G26 on mine and consider that about the gasser limit.

By the way... from what LHS are you getting such a price? Even with the current Tower discounts, it is much more than that. I might just call and order from your HS! [8D]

I just noticed that Tower changed the availability status from "Early Dec" to "On Order". Has anyone communicated with Tower recently to see if there is a problem and the shipping date is going to slip? I've sent them email and am waiting on a reply.

It now looks like there are a limited number of these in stock on the Tower web site. Anyone get any communication from Tower on shipping yet?

It also shows that the price is now $399.00 after an initial estimate of $430.00.

Yes, I noticed that also. I'll give Tower a call today and post more information if I get any.

I just spoke with Tower and the planes are in but only in IL. They have however not yet arrived in the Reno, NV warehouse. Looks like those in the east will get their kits soon and the west will follow shortly after!

Come on, Somebody need to get one of these and do a review A.S.A.P.!!
I want to know how well they are put together, and how they fly!!!!!
After CG sold out to Lanier I have been disapointed with there kits.
I would like to see if with this one they got back to the quality of the "old" Goldberg kits.

Lets get some pictures up and info on strength. I am waiting for a local shop to get one so I can see if I can get the gasser in her. If so I will order one and go that route.

Looks good in the pictures that's for sure.

Alright, looks like the Pitts are on their way out the door. Just found out that the LHS has one in stock. I'll have to go by and take a look. Already got a new FPE 1.3 motor waiting to go in it. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Also have the Pitts M12 by www.aerolockmodels.com and will finish it in the same scheme as this one. Big brother and little brother. Mike Hall is also planning a mid sized electric pitts that flew at SEFF this year. Sweet stuff!

extratorker: I am drooling.... What engine are you going to use in the plane? I am thinking about a Saito 180 when I get mine, but was wondering what your idea might be.

Looks great! Mine should be here on the 16th. I plan to use a converted G26. How does the firewall look?
