Duraplane movie? Didn't know there was one. Flown the Duraplane 20 and 40, have had maybe 4 of them with LA 40's and FX 46. Nice brick, fly in any weather.

Had an aerbatic flyer put the FX .46 powered (twice the power of La .40) duraplane thru the sky in ways I thought impossible. Defently not a trainer, landed hot and fast.

I did fly in winds so strong you couldn't keep a hat on. Did nice carrier landings into the wind.

Got to be about the toughest plane there is. I have friend with one and it has had the holy h--l beat out of it. Still flying. How many planes do you know that you can put in at almost full throttle straight down into a gravel parking lot and fly again an hour later?

I've had a Duraplane as well, for over six years. It's been crashed many times, mostly due to me pushing it harder and harder. The fact that it's a bit heavy meant that I felt good flying it on less than perfect days, and it never let me down. Mine was powered by a used OS 40FP, which I put at least ten more gallons through it. In fact, after it's last mishap, I took all the stuff off it with then intent of finally scrapping it. Last season, I decided I missed flying it, and put it back together.

Never did find the movie. It's on VHS and I don't have any more of those. I'm strictly Blue/Ray and DVD.
