Tunnel Vision is here!
Wowsers what a BIG profile! And very nicely done too.
Pic1: Shows the whole kit from the box. The wing bases (center section on the fuse) are not installed yet, they are glued on, but the steps look easy. Notice the canopy... Yep that's a hollow molded canopy... and fits like a glove.... real easy to install that. This plane will go together very quickly. CA hinges are used and are preslotted.
Pic2: The remaining hardware... Nice paint on the pants. Awesome ball bearing control horns lioghtest out there and strong!
Pic 3: Big 'ole airfoil... fat as my hand almost! Used a short and fairly light aluminum wingtube abd a carbon fiber antirotation pin.
Pic 4: Strong, polished aluminum gear.... I suspect the other "large" CF gear would work here too...
Pic5: Airfoiled stabs, fin and rudder. Reminds me alot of the DV and Vision.... tho the fin & Rudder are thicker. The stabs are held in place by a CF tube and aluminum antirotation pin
Pic6: One slick tailwheel... looks a little big for the plane til you get it installed.
All in all very nice construction, The fuse has two ply sides that run the length of the fuse with the top and bottom contour of the fuse being built up... lightweight and strong... This is going to be fun.... Chip says it's an absolute ball on an O.S. 1.60 with tuned pipe....
Seem like other options would be available too... like a 35cc gasser or a Hacker C50-13XL with 10s3P lipolies.
In fact, here is Chip with his Hacker powered TV... [link=http://www.chiphyde.com/images/products/tunnelvision/tunnelvision.wmv]Click Here[/link]

RE: Tunnel Vision is here!
Chip sells the Tunnel Vision for $375 which includes everything you see in these pics.
You still need some hardware to finish... fuel tank, axles & wheels, pushrods... I suppose that's it.
The stabs are removable too for people with "transport limitations".
6 pics? Dunno.... maybe they set the limit up to more... Looks like I could have put 10-12 in there...
I'm waiting on the O.S. 1.60, header and tuned pipe to show up to make this thing rock.
This could be put together in a weekend easy, and many seasoned builders woyuld get it done in a day.
here's some more "Eye Candy"

RE: Tunnel Vision is here!
Hi Maudib
How is the Tunnel Vision going ?
I am considering this model with a YS140 or the new Saito FA220 single.
Are you having any vibration problems with engine being hard mounted to a profile ?

OS 160 with home made pipe. Best dam knife edge profile I ever flown.
