Default NEW H-9 P-47 ARF 60size

Just checking out H-9's web sight and now they show a new P-47 60 size ARF. Last week a P-51 "trainer" and now a P-47. Sort of makes you wonder what's next.

$259 with pre-installed retracts.

Yup, my info was correct... the owner of my LHS told me about a month ago that he had been told a P-47 was Hangar 9's next ARF warbird offering. Now they need to do a Spit, Hurricane, ME-109, FW-190, or Zero for their next offering. The Mustangs, Corsairs, and now the P-47 need something to chase around the pattern!

The P-47 really looks beautiful!!!!

Why is it when you think you have a buying "plan" that something always comes along to screw it up

Geez, why couldn't it be in something other than silver! Or better yet, a the razorback version!!

In the bubble top version, the two colour (grey and OD) camo pattern would have been cool.

Well, enough whining I guess...time to think about getting this one anyway.

That's a decent looking P-47D bubble top. I like it.

However, the plane looks kinda short and odd from the side view.

tail wheel is not in scale location...kind of a bummer, usually H9 is better about that..doesnt look to be flaps either.

What are you refering to on the H9 tailwheels, seems like none of their warbird arfs have it in the scale location.

It looks very good! The wheels are a better scale size than most the other ARF's. But once again, it has external servos for the tail feathers. [:'(]

WHen I first got back into the sport just a few short months ago, I was amazed that almost everything we see now has the servo's mounted externally. Now I am sort of used to it, but it almost makes ya wonder what we did in the old days.

That's very nice Hellcat, I'm assuming that is a kit, but which one? That looks to be an E model instead of a G, but I'm not that picky.

Hey all you guys that want a 109, send an e-mail to Hanger 9. They won't do it until they see enough interest.

The P-47 looks good enough, I'd like one
And hell yeah, I second the Me-109!

One thing I don't really like about the P-47 (or the P-51) is that the servo is sticking out in the back. Keep it clean!
Anyone tried a modification on their H-9 planes??

Hey guys, maybe we can start a seperate thread about the 109, and talk about getting together a group email with a bunch of names and emails or something of the sort. Just a thought.

Yup, and if it's like all the other H-9's, count on re-inforcing the firewall and landing gear mounting area. Remember guys, that's our job to do not H-9's. Some day they'll make an F-6F Hellcat ARF.................someday.MM

YT International is making an Me109 ARF, and it will be scale looking just like the Hurricane and the upcoming Spit XIV. Personally, I wouldn't want H9 to butcher up the 109. Leave the 109 to a more competent designer.
