I have the V2 blue Alien wing set, but I'm not sure that those wings would fit a V1 red/green/white version.

tconnell - this thread seems to have been 'asleep' for the last 4 years and I'm wondering if I can 'wake it up' for some info from you - recently I was fortunate enough to buy a NIB model of this Giles 202 from a fellow club member who had no further use for it that I am presently putting together - my question is - what brand name and where did you get those rudder and elevator control horns? - my other question is - how did you manage to get the hole centres on the SWB servo horn (that I have) and the rudder control horns to be equidistant between centres so as not to put strain of the servo arm/control horn relationship when they operate in each direction? - if this thread 'wakes up' I would be very thankful - and I am happy to post pics and narrative of my 'assembly' of this model.

cheers and thanks in anticipation - maxiemac

smile it doesn't hurt

Hi George_32 - here are two photos of the linkages that were on my Giles - unfortunately I tried 2 flights on one tank of fuel and it stalled in and the fuselage is no more, but the wings are ok, just need to find a use for them.

I'm pretty sure I used the existing servo mounting places and I usually fit ply doublers under the servo mounting holes to give the servos more wood to grip into but no photo as that fuselage part has been thrown out - hope this info helps - cheers - maxiemac

Build a profile fuselage & place the wings on the fuse. Or just keep them...you may find another fuselage. Best Regards, John USA

So captin will maxiemac's wings fit your fuselage? Seems it should. Dunno if the color is right but the bottom is the red and white checkers like yours and mine. Can always recover the tops to match, or live with it while you enjoy flying the plane again. Had mine out earlier this Summer and the 160fx is still hauling the 202 arse around like a rocket!

I think the wings will fit, but he lives in Australia.....the shipping would be quite high I would say. Darn....
