DA50 & GP Pitts Linkage
I know I'm digging up the past and no one wants to hear about the Great Planes Pitts anymore, but I really could use some help. Does anyone have any pictures of the choke and throttle linkage for the Pitts and the DA50? Did you mount the servos in the cowl area?
Thanks,
Sheldon

I installed with a Dubro Lazer pushrod and ball link. The Throttle servo is inside the fuseage near cockpit.
I use choke by hand. My plane is still under construction.
Cheers.

Goldwing, this is not a pitts but the fundamentals are the same this is a [link=http://image.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/89705/Gb90632.jpg]wildhare extra[/link] using the [link=http://www.centralhobbies.com/control_linkage/carbrod.html]Central hobbies[/link] push rods and titanium ends with ball links.their is more on the subject regarding servo mounting in the wildhare forum that im sure you could apply to this plane as well or give you a good idea. the snap on ball links look clean but im not sure of their longevity? good luck Bill

Thanks much for the photos. I was really concerned that if I ran the push rods where you have them I would hit the gas tank. It looks so very close. I'll pull the tank out and maybe give it a try. The choke I usually run with a servo as I use it as a remote Kill switch too. I may do something like you have only add a servo for control.
Thanks much,
Sheldon

My lazer pushrod isn't square to firewall, just little angled to up and made a round over the fuel tank to cockpit. It's flexable.
I use a "on and on" toggle switch inside the fuseage for ignition, hooked up with a micro sevro with same pushrod as a remote, so I do not need another servo for choke. The other "on" is go to charger plug. This toggle switch has got a strong "click", so it's good for vibration. I haven't start the new motor yet, sometime later to check for any radio interference or glitches.
I did some custom works on cowl with 3/32 plywoods and HD fiberglass cloths so I can put button head screws inside not outside....with a long homemade allen driver.
Cheers

Thanks so much for the trouble of posting your pictures. Those are nice pictures! I never thought of doing the choke that way but it looks like a great idea.
I'll work on it this weekend
Thanks again,
Sheldon
