Default GP Giant Stick W/Brillelli 25 CC Gasser

Maidened today. This thing is simply awesome. A very fun flyer! Easy to see in the air, and nice and steady at slow speeds. Flies like a,,well,, a giant stick. Roll rate is very good for an 80 inch wing, and loops are also nice. Inverted flight is effortless. Mine required very little trim on the elevator. Ailerons and rudder were spot on. I didn't get the elevator mix dialed in today, so I didn't use the flaps or crow feature. I'll get to that next weekend, I'm sure.

Hardware with this ARF is top notch--including 1 1/4 inch aluminum standoffs for the gasser! The Brillelli 25 CC really tugged this plane along. I'd recommend one in a heartbeat.

I want to buy one to fasten an unused Saito 270 twin on but I was worried I'd get bored with it too quick. Are you trike or tail dragger ? Is there enough clearance for a 20" prop ? What size fuel tank can I squeeze in ?

Ground clearance on a 20" prop is 2.75". I just mounted a used G45 on mine, but haven't flown it yet, in fact, I plan to fire up the engine today for the first time to get the bugs out of the installation. I had a G26 on it which was good power and flew it well, but it did need nose weight to balance out. The G26 was converted to EI as is the G45. If the ground clearance isn't enough, I will have TNT make me a taller landing gear. The stock landing gear is a little flimsy anyway.
