The Ultimate ARF All Aluminum F7F
You guys with your balsa and plywood arf's. Poo. You guys who want rivet lines of glue..How about real rivets, real aluminum, and an arf!!
It did fly at 49#...for a while.
See the complete story on the plane and flight at RCU sister site www.rcwarbirds.com

ORIGINAL: bubbagates
And the crash would have been more spectacular. [X(]
In any case, that was allot of work and looked nice and I always hate to see a plane go in.
ORIGINAL: MinnFlyer
Now if it had only been made of balsa and Ply, you'd have it fixed by now

Almost perfect, but not quite.
For true scale realism, you really needed gas engines so that there was a fire.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry the model crashed.
Did an engine quit, causing the model to enter a spiral dive?

In the article It seems he thinks that the right aileron may have become loose. The one pic that shows the moment of impact shows it loose and the engine running. This is possible but this could also be where the force was strong enough to loosen the aileron and the wing just did not get far enough at the time to stop the engine.
