Seeking info on GP Ultimate 160 with OS 160 Combination
Anyone that has the GP Ultimate powered by the OS 160. -
Will it do a knife edge loop?
How Is vertical performance?
And last - how bad is fuel consumption - (minutes flight/ounces fuel)?

Though I haven't flown that exact combo I do have lots of experience w/ the OS160. It cannot deliver 3D or even passable IMAC level prformance on a 14 - 15lbs airframe. The limit is around 12 lbs for that engine. If you want to stay w/ glow - go w/ a MOKI or DPM 2.10.
Knife edge performance (and KE loops) are much more a factor of fuselage side area and rudder area than engine power. For example my 1/4 Cub can do a KE loop even though it's relatively underpowered (for aerobatics) at 15lbs w/ a Saito 150.
