I've not had a negative issue with them at all.

RE: NEW CESSNA 182!!
I know that construction really hasn't gotten started yet, but I am hoping to learn a bit about how the fibre glass fuselage appears to you. Is it really sturdy? How about the firewall, servo tray and things like that? Are the pushrod tubes in place? If not, is this going to be a challenge to install and support them? I have never seen a CMP model so I am a bit timid to plunge in there just based upon the low price. It's half the price of other Cessna models. I have been burned too many times by buying "cheap" in this hobby. It's gotten to the point where I am reluctant to go for what really could be a bargain with quality. Is this Cessna really a good solid model? How would it compare with a built up wood, fully sheeted kit?
I seldom recall what I paid for an item that I really like and am fully satisfied with. But I surely remember exactly what I have paid for the stuff that I am not happy with.
So, I would appreciate your objective opinions on this kit. Many thanks......Ol' Dutch

According to the reponses in this thread, three active RCU members have purchased the CMP 182. Myself, ziggy99, and TooLow. I and ziggy99 have both stated we must wait to build our planes. ziggy99 for his winter project. I have to wait till Christmas to open my "Christmas present" from my wife.
That leaves TooLow.
Come on Toolow!! How about it??

I found that RaidenTech.com shows that the new CMP 182 can use .90 to .120 engines but doesn't specify 2 oe 4 stroke. Heres the link http://www.raidentech.com/gisccmceskar.html

I have the Top Flite Cessna flying with the cockpit kit on the bench waiting to be installed. Ya think the CMPro will be able to have a cockpit kit fitted?
I do like the pre-formed wingstrut and landing gear fairings on the CMP. I didn't have the patience (or skill) to build the fairings on mine. Maybe this winter I'll 'scale out" my top flite.
Happy Flying

RE: NEW CESSNA 182!!
How about this gas engine from BME, supertiger G90 on gas. This will be the perfect engine
for this cessna !
[link]http://www.bmeengine.com/html/point90.htm[/link]
I ordered the top flite interior kit for mine and also the
robart #654 robostrut that fits the top flite. Both the top flite
and CMP are very very similar. I plan to scale my cmp out a bit.
Will take some time but i think its worth it.

I bet the new Zenoah 20cc gasser would be a good candidate for this airplane.

Hi guy's,
Well im getting excited, im at work today however my good friend is picking up his CMP extra From the hobby shop my soon to be skylane is. A couple more hours and he will be picking it up for me so it will be at his when i get home from work!!!! CANT WAIT!!!
That gasser looks great i am doing some research on it ( Just hope it fits in the cowls i hate cutting up cowls!!!!. ) I have never run a gasser before so how are they on cooling?? do they require alot of airflow through the cowls? i noticed on the pics the skylane has small cowls on the bottom however not sure of there actuall size.
Will let you know. Will try to get pics posted tonight!!
